About IASA
The ideal network if you want global coverage, local business expertise and ever improving service
The International Air Shipping Association is the oldest organization of its kind in the world. IASA was founded in 1971 by a group of enterprising freight forwarders who foresaw the need to establish an international network of independent forwarding agents. Our members are committed to cooperate in the handling of each others traffic, assuring our high quality standards and immediate two-way communication of shipment status and details. Since it's inception, IASA has grown into a global network of cargo agents in over 40 countries on all five continents. IASA members are independent freight forwarders in each country who have a common goal of service commitment
Other sim ilar associations do not restrict membership on a per country basis. Only one company can become an authorized IASA member in each country and then only after successfully undergoing the extensive selection process. The only exception is in the USA where necessarily the membership has been divided into regions. This rule has allowed IASA to develop into a true worldwide partnership that, at the same time, offers strong local presence and global understanding of the international logistics and shipping needs of our many demanding clients.

The IASA Advantage.

All members are shipping & logistics experts in and out of their country. Our members are among the volume leaders in their respective markets. Many of the individual principals of our members are also actively involved in the leadership of their national and regional forwarding associations. Examples are Alec Kohf of Freightman - Chairman of the Singapore Forwarders Association; Angelito Colona of Eagle Express - President of the Philipines Air Forwarding Association: Keree Chaichanavong of TAC - President of the Fowarding Association of Thailand; Roger Madan of Air Marine - President of the Florida Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association; Lee Connor of J.S. Connor - Director of the National Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association.
With IASA you can ship your goods to anywhere in the world while doing business with people that know your markets and speak your language.
By Air, Sea, Rail or Road your IASA freight forwarder can arrange all modes of transportation at competitive prices. We also offer customs brokerage, warehousing, inventory and distribution, packing and crating, domestic freight pickups and deliveries, plus many more specialized services are available, just ask.
Act Local
The great advantage of IASA is that it offers you a network of globally active forwarding agents, who each are local experts in their own Country. The concept enables you to ship your goods to anywhere in the world, while at the same time doing business with people who know your market intimately and who speak your language. But there is more. Because each IASA member is an independent company, you can profit from that indefinable extra quality: entrepreneurial spirit. This shows itself in greater care and more personal, tailor-made service you can rely on. Contact your local IASA member.
No need to shop around
Working with IASA forwarders means you can safely leave any shipment to them, whatever the cargo, destination or desired mode of transport. 'Multi-modal' is the key word here. As implied in the name, the original emphasis was on airfreight, but nowadays your IASA forwarder will advise and arrange alternative modes of transport if that is in your best interest, by rail, road or sea (we have a subsidiary network for ocean freight). Are their special requirements? Your IASA forwarder can arrange refrigerated warehousing, cool trucks, guarded storage or any other facility needed to keep your cargo safe and in pristine condition.
Ship Global
Does your company regularly ship goods overseas? Or receive products from abroad? How do you get a shipment of computers safely to somewhere in Africa? Or a cargo of perishables to the USA? Or a prize bull for breeding purposes from Argentina? Clearly, what you need is a cargo agent capable of dealing with your particular transportation problem. One who can deal with both the logistics and the necessary paperwork. One who will collect your cargo and get it on board the right plane at the right price: In short, you want specialists who know how to ship your goods speedily, safely and reliably. Equally important is what happens to your cargo at the other end. So you want the guarantee that customs clearance, temporary storage, handling and delivery are taken care of with maximum efficiency. The best way to get that guarantee is to entrust your shipment to the IASA forwarding agent in your country.
IASA stands for worldwide forwarding services
What is IASA? The International Air Shipping Association was founded in 1971. It has since developed into a worldwide network of independent forwarding agents. All have agreed to cooperate in handling each other's shipments and to maintain high quality standards. In each country only one company has been carefully selected as an IASA member (except in the USA, where IASA has regional members). IASA can offer you a global network of cargo agents in over 40 countries on all five continents. No matter where in the world you have trading partners, your local IASA member can deliver. We like to call it: one stop shopping locally.
